On Saturday, October 21, 2023, I received the 2023 Copper Will Rogers Medallion Award for Bozeman Paymaster: A Tale of the Fetterman Massacre, in the category of Western Traditional Fiction. Chris Enss, Executive Director, Will Rogers Medallion Award Committee, presented the medallion to me during the Annual Awards Banquet in the Fort Worth, Texas, Stockyards.
