Michael Zimmer, fellow member of Western Writers of America, and I spent a pleasant evening dining at the Silverado Steakhouse in the South Point Hotel & Casino during his visit this week to Las Vegas. Michael came to town to do research on a book he is currently writing. Over the weekend he had participated in a book signing in St. George, Utah.
Michael is an outstanding writer of western and historical novels. His books have won numerous awards including the Western Heritage Wrangler Award and Western Writers of America’s Spur Award. I am particularly pleased to call Michael a friend because he has written great blurbs for the dust jackets of my first two books (Eagle Talons and Bear Claws) in The Iron Horse Chronicles. You can be sure I’ll be asking him to review Golden Spike, the final book in my trilogy, when it is released by Five Star Publishing in 2017.
